Planted on rugged, rocky slopes decades ago, our gnarly old vines
struggle to produce small lots of intensely flavored grapes. Embarking
on a journey to restore and nurture these old vines we find a restoration
of our own, one that we embrace at day’s end. Enjoy our soft,
fruity and robust Old Vine Red, and start your own restoration.
Originating
in the sunny hills of Portugal, Restoration Old Vine Red is layered
with dark fruit flavors, and toasty notes of chocolate.
Our
Old Vine Red is produced from three traditional “old world”
grape varieties. In the Alentejo district the Tina Roriz grape (called
Tempranillo in Spain) gives bright fruit and structure. The Trincadeira
Preta grape supplies beautiful aromas and the Alicante Bouschet grape
(an offspring of Grenache) gives tannin and backbone. Together, these
old vines and our new attitude yield a delicious, soft and easy to
enjoy red wine.
